Apparently I missed an entire month. I wish I could say that the past month was more productive for running than it was for blogging…but I am not 100% sure that would actually be true.
Summer has officially arrived in Texas and it came with a vengeance. Sometimes I find myself wondering if I was just a wimp for not running last year while I was pregnant, then I go for a run and realize it really is that incredibly hot out!
That said, I have been doing my best to get out and at least walk a mile each day. Running has been less consistent, but I am still plugging away.
So grab a glass of iced tea and lets talk mileage for the month of may!

Ok, so that was a lot of typing nope. My 15.6 miles total for the month of May is not exactly something I am proud of and really does not help me get any closer to my goal of running 1000 miles this year. (Spoiler alert, I am at 53.6 miles total for the year and it’s almost half over…oops). But between working, moming, battling ankle pain, allergies, and crazy heat I am not overly upset about it either. I am hoping June will be better for me and I can work on increasing my mileage. I am also counting it as a success that I have gone for a walk almost every single day, even when I all I wanted to do was curl up in bed!
Today is the start of a new week and a new opportunity to do more, so here’s to looking forward!
How has summer running been treating you?!
