Five Things Friday #3

It’s the Friday before Thanksgiving yall!  I have no idea November has flown by so fast. That also means that next Friday is Black Friday…as much as I used to love going out on that day it has just gotten way too crazy so I won’t be shopping.  That said, I will absolutely be blasting Christmas music starting that day!  I am also a Small Business Saturday fan and plan to celebrate that!

Anyways, on to the whole point of the post….Five Things I am Loving This Week:

Brussels Sprouts

I had never cooked them before yesterday, but I used this recipe yesterday for Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Cranberries with a Balsamic Reduction and they were amazing! I get to make them again today too 🙂

The Book of Joy

If you have never read anything written by Archbishop Desmond Tutu you should go get all his books right this moment.  Just kidding, sorta.  I have only just started reading The Book of Joy but I 110% recommend it already.

And if you happen to need another book recommendation, go ahead and get No Future Without Forgiveness too. It is also by Desmond Tutu and I have read it so many times but it never gets old.

The Hamilton Mixtape

Ok I know this has been on the list before, but they keep releasing new songs each Friday…so it is still very much relevant.  Please go look it up, you will not regret it. Usher’s version of Wait For It is one of the songs they released this week and it’s amazing.  On a side note, this is all that is keeping me from cheating and turning on the Christmas music a little early lol.

Costco

This is also not a new thing I love, but now that the holiday season is here it is just that much better.  Have you had their pies?! The apple pie is $10 and super massive and actually possibly better than homemade. Just saying.  Also the muffins. I cannot go into Costco without getting muffins…and maybe beer!

Infrared Turkey Fryers

We have the Char-Broil Big Easy (ok we used to before my husband lost it…but luckily his parents also have one) and it makes the very best turkey.  All the goodness of a fried turkey without the mess, the oil, and significantly less risk of getting it wrong and blowing yourself up.  Win win win in my book.

That’s my five for the week! Now we just have to get through Friday and it’s time for the weekend!  What are you loving this week? Do you have big weekend plans?
